Alpine Club of Pakistan plans a Grand Reception for Samina Baig the first Pakistan Women to Climb Mt Everest
Alpine Club of Pakistan has planned a rousing reception for Ms Samina Baig who climbed Mt Everest (8,848 M) becoming the first Pakistani women to hoist national flag on the highest point on Earth when she arrives back Islamabad on Monday 3rd June from Kathmandu, Nepal via Karachi at 1745 by PK 308. She will be accompanied by her brother Mirza Ali. A large number of ACP members, local students and her well wishers from Shimshal, Hunza, Gilgit - Baltistan and other parts of Pakistan are expected to be present at Islamabad Airport to welcome this proud daughter of Pakistan back home.
After Airport fanfare reception Ms Samina Baig shall be driven in an entourage to Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad where she along with her brother Mirza Ali and ACP officials will address a Press Conference at 8 pm on Monday 3rd June 2013 at Hamidi Hall.
